Integrating sustainability in early childhood education is a key challenge we face in collaboration with committed kindergarten teachers across the country. We recognize that attitudes, values, and consumption patterns are shaped from the children’s first year of life. But how well-equipped are we, as adults, to be good role models?

Globally, there is a lack of both education and training in sustainable development within early childhood education. At Wileo, we are passionate about supporting those in the nursery role, who already juggle many important topics in their often hectic daily routines, tight budgets, and lack of tools in sustainable development.

Our ambition is to make it easy for educators to acquire knowledge through exploratory learning in practice, where we explore and learn from each other, other professionals across cultures, and together with the children. We aim to make it simple for everyone (regardless of role) to carry out educational activities without the need for additional purchases or planning in all subjects and areas.

For over two years, we have collaborated with 150 kindergartens to offer an innovative platform that facilitates the integration of sustainability in children’s learning. Wileo provides tools and resources that help implement sustainable learning activities and build environmental awareness.
